lab is an end product of our strip cast. Four sides of the strip are generated to eliminate reflection influences. Opposite ends are then polished for inspection. All slabs are optically inspected to meet rigorous criteria outlined in MIL-G 174B regarding striae and inclusions.

All slabs include a minimum homogeneity value of ±20×10^-6 (variation of refractive index within the slab). The size of slab can vary but will generally relate to the dimensions of the original utilized strip.
